Fit Your Diet into Your Life with Portion Size- Healthy fit

If you live with others, going on a diet usually entails eating differently from the rest. This is time-consuming, costly, and difficult to maintain in the long run, especially if you're a working mother.

A better method is to eat the same food as everyone else but in lesser portions. Do you recall the Mars bar simile from earlier? A little less over time, and before you know it, you'll be looking in the mirror at a new slimmer trimmer you.

It's also quite simple! Simply serve in smaller containers. Serve cereal in a teacup instead of a bowl, and eat from a side dish instead of a dinner plate.

Eat More in the Morning

When you take a step back and consider it, the way we eat during the day is insane! Skip breakfast and/or lunch, exert energy during the day, have a large meal, and then retire to bed. We force our bodies to keep this food as fat because we give them no other option.

Our energy intake in Western civilization is almost entirely at odds with our energy consumption. It's backward, inside out, and upside down.

I'm not sure how this happened, but I recall my grandmother telling me about "how things were back in her day." The main meals were breakfast and lunch. What we now refer to as dinner was once referred to as "supper" - a late-day snack.

Exercise

Exercise on a daily basis has numerous health benefits. Unfortunately, losing a significant amount of weight is not high on the priority list.

Yes, it will help, and every little bit helps, but don't let the fact that you can't find 20-30 minutes a day 5 days a week prevent you from doing the 5 minutes a week exercise program described in the Muscle Mass section below.

Light aerobic exercise burns some energy while you're doing it, but to really lose weight, you need to tap into the power of your Basal Metabolic Rates(BMR).

Dangers of Ultra Low-Calorie Diets

Ultra-low calorie diets promise quick results but come at a high cost. You will inevitably lose muscle mass, so you will be worse off in the long run because you will have a lower BMR working for you 24*7*365.

Ultra low-calorie diets are also unpleasant to follow (remember, you should have a life while on your diet), and they put you at risk of a variety of negative health effects.

Consistency and time, not extreme calorie restriction, are the keys to your new slimmer future.

Muscle Mass

One of the most important aspects of long-term sustained weight loss is not losing muscle mass. When you lose muscle mass, your BMR decreases, and your diet may result in you becoming fatter rather than slimmer.

We all lose muscle mass as we age. We've all heard that older people are weaker. If we can stop or reverse muscle loss, we can help people lose weight and avoid the "middle-aged spread" that is so common in our society.

Muscle building is actually very simple and takes very little time. Here's how to go about it:

Attend and Enjoy your Food

Did you know that simply paying attention to what you're eating and taking the time to enjoy it can help you lose weight? You will eat less if you do not do anything else while eating, so avoid eating in front of the TV or while doing other things.

Food is one of life's greatest pleasures. You can enjoy it even if you're on a diet, so give yourself the opportunity to eat mindfully.

If you're treating yourself, enjoy the indulgence and savor it. Because your treat is part of the plan, you can let go of the guilt.

Pharmaceuticals

Have you ever wondered why fat people don't get bigger and bigger until they're the size of Jabba the Hut? I'm the same way!

It appears self-evident that we regulate our weight and blood pressure around a set point. While we have medications to lower our blood pressure, science has yet to develop a convenient tablet that does the same for our weight.

.All medications have both effects and side effects, so if you are thinking about trying them, working with a health practitioner who can monitor things is a must.

A multivitamin supplement should be considered a must if you are on a very low-calorie diet (not a good long-term idea).
